Your donation enables Triratna South East Buddhist Group to provide opportunities for all to practice meditation and study Buddhist teachings.

With the exception of an occasional grant, Triratna South East Buddhist Group's income comes solely from "dana" or donations.
​
Donations are used to:

pay for the hire of our meeting venues and costs of sangha nights and events;

subsidise retreat costs for low or unwaged sangha members;

pay our Mitra Convenors a small amount of monthly support for their time and work;
-
enable order members and others to attend training events for the benefit of the sangha;

cover essential administrative costs such as insurance, website, email and zoom communication and stationery.

Every year, the TSEBG Trustees review our financial status. After retaining enough for the group to run for the next 12 months, we have frequently been able to make donations to other Triratna-based activities and charities. In recent years we have given funds to: Dharmachakra (supporting the work of TheBuddhistCentreOnline.com), Triratana Sarana (supporting Tiratanaloka Unlimited, the purchase and setting up of a new ordination training centre for women), Padmaloka (the men's ordination training centre), Rivendell Retreat Centre, Windhorse Publication, 2025 Buddhist Film Festival in Hastings, Guhyaloka (the men's ordination centre in Spain).
None of this would be possible without the ongoing and generous dana from sangha members, so thank you very much indeed. While our primary purpose is to enable our own sangha to flourish, it is delightful to be able to also support other parts of Triratna who make our own Buddhist paths so rich.
